Hotels are not often our first accommodation choice when we travel, primarily because of the cost. However, our visit to Rotorua a few weeks ago was planned on short notice, which meant that most of the affordable accommodations were already booked (or so we thought). Because we were desperate to find an available hotel in less than a week, we resorted to scanning the various hotel booking websites and we ended up reserving a double room at Holiday Inn Rotorua. Hotel room rate during our stay: $108/ night, the reservation

Trek Global Backpackers is the second backpacker type accommodation that we’ve stayed at ever since we started travelling. Our first experience about 2 years ago, wasn’t very pleasant, which was why we were a little hesitant to book a room at this place. When we were looking for accommodation for our Sydney trip we had to consider several factors, and these include: Proximity to the city centre, Accessibility with regards to public transport services (i.e. trains and buses), And of course affordability. AUD$150/ night for a Premium room; we also received a code for to get a 10% discount after we made an enquiry at the Metro Hotels website

The cafe boasts a lush green scenery and a beautiful water feature. We consider the cafe as typical when it comes to the food and the drinks option,

On this day, we’ve decided to skip the usual Sushi Train lunch date and since winter is starting to creep in, we thought that it would be the perfect time to get some ramen. One of our favorite noodle places is Chop Chop Noodle House. It is among the many food places located in Ponsonby Central – a hub composed of cafès, bars, restaurants, and a fresh produce market.
